GUIDELINES FOR ADMISSION TO ALL UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES IN THE RIVERS STAQTE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
This is to inform the general public and prospective candidates seeking admission into various degree programmes at the Rivers State University of Science & Technology that contrary to the provision in the JAMB brochure for the 2007/2008 admissions, the University Senate had before the publication reviewed its admission requirement to include:
English Language
Mathematics as part of the 5 Credit level passes at the GCE/WASC/NECO examinations for
ALL
programmes in the University.
That there is no waiver or special consideration for candidates with first degrees in other disciplines seeking admission to the Bachelor's Degree in Law.
The above review was submitted to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for inclusion in the brochure for prospective candidates. Regrettably, this information was not reflected in the brochure released by JAMB.
The Senate of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt wishes to inform all stakeholders and prospective applicants for admission into
all degree programmes
to take note of the above provisions.
The University is by this publication advising all candidates seeking admission to the University in the on-going 2007/2008 admission exercise, to please, take note of the admission requirements stated in paragraph 1(a) and (b) above for compliance.
